Dr. Olateju Urges NADDC to Complete Emission testing Centre Under construction For 5 years
The National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) officials led by Dr. Nankin Bangudu, President’s Nominee on the Board of NADDC visited the Polytechnic on Wednesday, August 29, 2018.
The Deputy Rector (Administration) during his address noted that the on-going construction of the Emission Testing Centre commenced since January 2013 and its yet to be completed.
He Further appealed to the Council to facilitate the completion of the Centre during the forth-coming 40th Anniversary programmes of the Polytechnic.
Dr. Nankin Bangudu, appreciated the Polytechnic for releasing the land space for the construction of the Emission Testing Centre free of charge.
He also assured the Polytechnic Management that the project will be completed and commissioned very soon.
He further advised the Polytechnic Management to introduce Automobile Engineering as a full-fledged programme rather than offering it as an option in HND Mechanical Engineering.
The team visited the Mechanical Engineering Department of the Polytechnic as well as the on-going construction of the Emission testing Centre for on-the-spot assessment and evaluation.
